*waves of blue*

missoni target sweater, blue, turquoise, navy

*whew*…i’ve been stuck in a color rut for a while…feeling uninspired & wearing mostly black lately, but managed to break through today :)  was getting kinda worried there, hahaha!

missoni target sweater, blue, turquoise, navy

i’m actually surprised i haven’t paired this sweater & skirt together before…the navy blues are a perfect match.  i love not only the print mix, but the texture mix of this sweater…sheer front panel, yet wavy, textured sleeves & back.  quite suitable for the weather transitions now…some thickness for warmth, yet diaphanous in hopes of spring ^_^

*a white harness for the holiday*

grey, chartreuse, neon yellow, white halter, BCBG halter, bow, white harness, white suspenders, white belt

i’ve been dying to wear this white harness ever since i got it at BCBG.  it’s a bit *much* to wear seeing clients on a regular every day basis, so had to wait for just such an occasion…like the thanksgiving holiday weekend away :)  it’s just funky enough to wear around family & friends without too much hassle…although a younger nephew already asked what the heck i was wearing ^_^  i’m kinda used to that sort of thing XD

grey, chartreuse, neon yellow, white halter, BCBG halter, bow, white harness, white suspenders, white belt

this thick woolen grey top with its ginormous neck bow, leggings & neoprene skirt are at least keeping me plenty warm here in pennsylvania sans heavy coat.  then again, all the fat layers i’ve gained already from 2 days of nothing but eating, eating & EATING is keeping me insulated just fine >_<  i’m thoroughly relishing my long weekend away though, don’t get me wrong.  wherever you’re spending your holidays, hope you’re enjoying as well!

*resplendent in rose gold*

wearing:  hugo buscati white suit blazer || LF store oriental print camisole || forever 21 neon pink bra top || asos pink pleated wide leg pants

in attending the tiffany & co blogger event, i decided to go all out with the whole rose gold theme & put on practically every rose gold accessory i own…hahaha!  why not right?  my philosophy is come high or stay home.  when the director & host of tiffany & co actually complimented me on my rose gold necklace, well then, i knew i made the right decision :)

accessories:  michael kors watch || asos ring band || rose gold/CZ floral cocktail ring || target oval necklace || charlotte russe metallic heels

i know…i know.  i hardly ever wear pants, especially for a night time event.  however, the look came together easily enough & just felt right, plus i was actually comfy with such a loose-fitting outfit for once :)  sorry, i couldn’t help accessorizing as well with the tiffany gift box (containing their commemorative anniversary style book) that we received from our gracious hosts.  that famous robin’s egg blue actually matched some of the colored swirls of my blouse :)  then again, when *doesn’t* a tiffany box compliment any outfit? maybe it’ll be my new clutch or computer case…bwahaha!

*sandy pink & ocean blue*

wearing:  river island cape dress (via asos) || aldo silver chrome heels || white bead bracelet (baclaran market, manila) || ice.com rings

keeping it short & sweet as i’m still here in florida & having an awesome vaykay with my family!  also, continuing to recover from the wonderful time i had at my younger brother’s wedding.  unfortunately, it was rainy weather the day of the ceremony which was to take place on the beach, but the indoor event was nevertheless lovely & we were all still so very happy & had tons o’ fun :)

the resort they picked to have their reception at was gloriously ocean themed & i loved the decor that had everything from smooth stones to bubble fountains to sparkling shells…all in the muted blues of the ocean & sandy beiges of the beach.  glad i wore the appropriate dress to match the occasion ^_^

*the asos fall/holiday preview at the ames hotel*

i’m a big fan of asos…who isn’t? in fact, when i decided to revamp this ol’ blog here, it was my asos coat that i decided to feature in my debut post. soooooo…when their senior director of fashion PR contacted me about coming by the ames hotel in boston to preview the fall & holiday collection, i *jumped* at the chance! like literally (there was an earthquake here in boston today apparently while i was at the hotel but i didn’t feel it…hahaha)! guess all those gorgeous shoes & clothes already knocked me off my rocker ^_^

first of all, the layout in the ames hotel was very lovely. kevin & austin kindly greeted me & had yummy fruit, pastries & other brunch-y items waiting. the clothes & accessories were all laid out & presented very cozily, very intimate, living room style. *of course*…i zeroed in on the shoes first. already familiar with asos’s website, i knew they always had a premium selection of the footwear i most favor…chunky, high platforms in bold colors…and this preview did NOT disappoint! see those very miu miu-esque glittery booties & sandals? oh come holiday time, they WILL be mine…oh yes!

once i was done drooling over my future babies the shoes, kevin was nice enough to walk me through the collection & point out the hottest items for the fall & winter. their collection of coats & other outerwear is always off the chart…more fitted, more architectural, more unique than any other frumpy coats you’ve ever worn…promise! thankfully, seems like leopard & printed blouses (especially those of animal silhouettes) are going nowhere any time soon. i don’t know about you, but i still loves me some animal print & it would never go out of style for me :) one item i really loved was the “najavo” dress. now, i know tribal & ikat were popular for summer & this kind of native american print seems well suited to transition & mute those types of favored bright patterns quite appropriately into fall. absolutely love it!

what i really love most about asos though is that with the eleventibillion products on their website, you’d be hard pressed to find yourself at an event with another bitch girl wearing your same outfit. i like how i’ve never (even on other blogs) seen anyone with my asos coat! know how many times a day when i wear a certain skirt (from a certain very large fast fashion megastore) out, i hear, “oh i have that same skirt”? not fun. shoes *however* are a different thing. i’m already shoe twins with several of my blogger friends & when they see this awesome shoe gear when they preview the asos collection for themselves, i have a feeling in a few short months, we’ll all be sporting the same glittery platform gloriousness! hahaha!
