*more year of the dragon ~ zoora traveling trunk show*

i typically work late thursday evenings & *of course* which night of the work week are most events held on? needless to say, i miss a lot of fun activities in & around the boston area because of that, HOWEVER i was surprisingly free & clear of patients last night & was able to make the one event that i was looking forward to…the zoora trunk show!
didn’t think so soon after chinese new year, i would end up wearing dragons again, however i thought, well, why not? where else but to a fashion event showcasing avante garde designers (who create such chain & feather creations that lady gaga herself places an order) could i wear a refashioned silk bomber kimono jacket complete with embroidered dragon, metallic leather skirt & sky high asos heels? besides, once all my chinese new year celebrations are over & done with, i’ll totally be over this whole year of the dragon thing…hahaha!
anywho, the event was very fun! i missed the major launch of the zoo-ra website at the apple store last week, so i was very glad to experience the trunk show before it hit the road & peruse the pretty rack of clothes. some of the saliva-worthy samples were definitely the alana hale vest, the nirva cape (she’s a good friend & i just looooove her clothes) & the emily muller asymmetrical yellow skirt that lovely holly of covetous creatures modeled for photos.
of course, none of these events would be any fun if it weren’t for the camaraderie & company of sweet blogger pals like naomi & najeema…even if *ahem* one of these girls hardly cooperates with having her photo taken :p at least this time, she gave me a different finger than she usually gives…hahaha!
all in all, it was a great evening & i was glad for the opportunity to take these sweet kicks out for the night. congrats again to aubrie & the rest of the zoora team & wish them much fun on the rest of their trunk show travels!
