*wearing winter white while snob swapping*

wearing: thrifted white dress || asianicandy fish necklace || covetous creatures horsetail pendant || brook & lyn agate bracelet || JC lita spike
i know, i know…*another* all white outfit…so long after labor day & well into the dead of winter? ooooo…how could i? well, to be honest, it’s no big deal. no one cares right? in terms of fashion rules, i go more by the appropriateness of what you’re wearing in regards to the season. for example, if i was wearing a gauzy, see through dress (kinda like my curtains) & open-toed espadrille or cork sandals, then *yes*, inappropriateness all around.

however, i knew i wanted to wear my JC spike litas out tonight. since the whiteness & metal detailing of the shoes reminded me of something else white & metal worn only during the winter (ice skates anyone?)…i thought well, why not…let’s go for broke & wear a white pleated shirt dress & have that princessy figure skater kinda look. the poufy sleeves were just a bonus…hahaha!

so, where did i go all wintery white? why to snob swap, of course! my good friends, amy & melissa (the swapaholics)…who you must be new to my blog if you haven’t heard me already sing my adulations of these girls…were hosting yet another swap, but this time with a little twist. instead, of the mega swaps they usually have with hundreds of boston’s swappiest, they held a smaller, more intimate, invite-only, designer goods kinda swap. it was so much more manageable, less crazed & the easiest system ever…bring 2 higher end items (no h&m or F21) & swap 2 items & also get 1 free item from the closet, *the* premiere designer consignment shop on newbury street! as usual, i chatted up the usual blogger suspects, made new friends, ate some apps, drank some cider & ironically, i brought 2 jackets to swap & took home 3 lovely different jackets! i was so pleased with my new finds (to be featured in a future post) that i floated home on a cloud…or more like skated home…hahaha!
